          PPI (Picks per inch) after  processing :- 64
       
          Fabric length before processing :- 8000 mt
So,
          Total picks (8000 mt) = PPI (before) x fabric length x 39.37
                                     
                                             = 66 x 8000 x 39.37
                                            = 20787360 Picks

                                                                       total picks ( 8000 mt )
          fabric length after processing = ------------------------------------------------
                                                                      PPI (after ) x 39.37

                                                                   20787360
                                                          = -----------------------------
                                                                  64 x 39.37
      
                                                          =  8250 mt

So,                                                   Length elongation ( fabric mt ) x 100
      Shrinkage / Elongation% = -----------------------------------------------------
                                                            fabric length before processing

                                                                 (8250-8000) x 100
                                               = ---------------------------------------------------
                                                                          8000

                                               =  3.125%


If, PPI increase then, 
                                           now, PPI =68

                                                                      total picks ( 8000 mt )
