SIZE MIXING COOKING

SIZE MIXING COOKING PROCEDURE: -

1, Take the required quantity of water in the mixing vessel.

2. Sprinkle SOLOACT DN(Sizing starch) in water (Use full bag. Do not use partial bag ) Add other ingredients & and keep stirring continuously for minimum 20 minute's in cold.

 3.Transfer to the pressure vessel, either by gravity or by pump as the-case may be.

 4.Open the steam-condensate valve to remove condensate water and iron-rust from the steam pipe line. This will avoid increasing the water level in cooking vessel and also avoid contamination of size with iron-rust of steam pipe line. Remove the water condensate from steam pipeline along with iron-rust till the steam starts coming out with force

5.Close the steam pipeline condensate valve  and keep some leakage so that condensate water along with  some steam  keeps coming out.

 6. Open the steam valve in the cooking vessel and start heating & keep stirring continued.

7. Keep the air-vent valve open till the temperature reaches 85-86 °C.  This is to remove air from the cooking vessel so that the temperature and pressure are accountable when you try to increase temperature. When the steam starts coming out through air-vent, close the air-vent valve and raise the temperature to 120 °C.

8. SOLOACT DN starts gelatinizing at around 75 °C. After gelatinization, the stable viscosity is attained at around 120 °C.

9: Maintain the temperature 120 °C for 20 min.
10. Transfer paste to the storage tank using a suitable pump or by gravity as the case may be.
 11. Maintain the temperature of store tank at 92-94 °C and keep stirring continued.

12. Maintaining the Sow-Box temperature as per the quality throughout the sizing operation, which helps in proper penetration of size paste into the core of warp yarn till the entire quantity of size-pasts consumed in sizing warp yarn.

13. Keep 100% wet pick-up, so that the penetration of size will he better and the hairiness will be covered.
